• I spent 2 hours today looking for my special pencil (Zebra M-301 0.5mm Mechanical Pencil). I have a spare, but was totally committed to not proceed with any work until I found my misplaced one. Found it in a pencil cup on my work desk and then asked myself "Now why would I have put it there?" (yeah, really did)...then I created this web page for no reason whatsoever.

• I get a lot of calls every day with the caller stating first off (always in these exact words): "Am I talking to the business owner?". I hang up. Apparently no legal reason they do this, but probably bypasses some legal opt-out / no-spam law or something is my best guess. Now I am getting a new leading phrase "Hello, I am with Client Services...am I...", then I hang up. The first few of these calls, I would ask them "Client Services, for what company?"..they would pause for a few seconds then give me some acronym "MSG Company" or whatever, then I hang up. They don't come up as Potential Spam calls either and usually show a local town or city.

• Today, I lost my caliper somewhere in the shop. Still no luck, but fortunately it was my Harbor Freight one and not my nicer Mitutoyo. It will appear at some random point in the future. Later that week: 5 days later, I found it when I was moving my 20 gallon compressor to hang a vintage sign.
