AI can be extremely useful for certain restoration tasks, particularly when recovering detail or assisting with complex damaged areas. But it is a tool—not a substitute for judgment.
We use AI strategically when it can improve the restoration, and then manually review, refine, and correct the results. This helps us avoid the artificial appearance that can result from relying entirely on automated restoration.

2. Digital Restoration
The digital image is carefully evaluated and restored. Depending on the photograph, this may involve extensive manual work in Photoshop along with strategic use of AI-assisted restoration tools.
3. Final Review
The restored image is carefully reviewed and refined to ensure that repairs look natural and that the photograph retains its original character.
4. Archival Printing
Once the restoration is complete, we can produce a new high-quality print using archival-quality materials selected for the photograph and its intended use.
