A Walk Around The SecondMoonshot Shop

I thought I would do a quick blog post and give a static tour of the shop. Minimal editing, so go with the flow here. I have a 1875 sq/ft warehouse located in downtown Rolesville, NC and it is located conveniently 5 minutes from my house. I lease the space and my landlords are some of the nicest folks I have met. My warehouse "neighbor" is great and we try to help each other whenever it is needed. Neither of us have a bathroom, so he got a portable toilet system and allows me to use it.
I spend 10-12 hours per day here on most days and rarely in the shop later than 7am and normally home around 6pm, so I try to make it comfortable and you will see a definite man cave vibe going on. I do have a growing collection of vintage posters flowing around the shop and keep 2 cars (2016 Porsche 911 C4S and 1976 Porsche 911S Targa). All the posters are for sale and hundreds not visible.
The main "zones" of the shop include:
Main custom framing area
Shipping and Mat cutting area
Seating area (or napping)
Inventory and supply area
95% of the time I am alone so there is always some tunes playing of a wide variety. When not listening to music, I will probably be listening to an audio book.
I keep 2 cars as mentioned above tucked in a corner on battery trickle chargers. Believe it or not, I can get them out when I want to take a ride as I have all equipment in the shop on casters.
In front of the main loading bay is where the majority of the woodworking takes place. Nothing crazy, but a DeWalt planer and table saw, Grizzly jointer, JessEm router table, Seal 500-TX mechanical press, unmilled lumber, etc. I occasionally also do some work on the cars here and have a QuickJack to make that easier.
We have a good number of mat board and moulding
samples available and more hidden around and 1000s that I can get in quickly. I originally built the big table to do oversized project, but I also use it for staging area of new jobs. In the back is an XTool S1 laser engraver/cutter, Epson V850 Pro scanner and Epson ET-8550 printer. I like to be able to meet any secondary needs such as plaqes and photos for the job in-house.
I do have a seating area with leather sofa and comfy chair/ottoman. I have been known to take a nap or two. On the table is a Fletcher 1100 Oval/Circle cutter (next to the covered scanner)...I do computer work primarily at this table. Like the coffee table? Good use of a damaged wheel from a small accident in the Porsche.
This is the primary custom framing area where the hard work gets done. The 2 tall tables hold all of the mat board inventory. There is a Miter-Mite VN42 V-Nailer, FrameSquare Miter table saw, large guillotine paper/material cutter. Most is old, but extremely reliable and high quality. Over to the right is a Makita compound miter saw with extensions for rough cuts. The space has heat and air.
I keep some rolled posters and supplies on the nice Ikea cube shelving along with more moulding samples. What man cave would be complete unless you had a good barber chair.
In the back you will find the mat cutting area with a Logan Platinum 850 which does 95% of my mat cutting. I have a Fletcher 2100 60" and another older 48" mat cutter around as well when needed for oversized cutting. This table and to the right is where I do the packing and shipping.
When I bought out a local framer who was retiring, it included most of the equipment above, but also this awesome moulding rack. In front of it is the Fletcher 3000 glass cutter and under the rack is the Fletcher 2100 60" mag cutter. The back area is also where I keep all the framing supplies.
